Mark and Jenna’s beach town wedding was a relaxed and cozy affair. Everything from the Catholic Wedding Liturgy, to the bridal party vibe, to the event venues culminated into a laid-back—yet beautiful—weekend.
Catholic Wedding Liturgy
Mark and Jenna celebrated a Catholic Wedding Liturgy at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Vero Beach, Florida. Just across the street from where their guests were staying at Capt Hiram’s Resort, this beachside parish set an effortlessly charming tone. The green tones embedded throughout the church complimented the bridal party’s colors seamlessly. Plus, the abundance of natural light further illuminated the joy the day. Here are just a few of my favorites:
Favorite Florida Venue
The weather was absolutely perfect for Mark and Jenna’s reception at Treehouse Vero Beach. This venue was tucked away and surrounded by lush greenery. A golf cart ride—provided by the venue—took me and the couple out to a private dock on the property for a golden hour portrait session. Back at the main pavilion, there was room for guests to dance, eat, relax, and enjoy lawn games throughout the evening. This was particularly perfect for the several families with babies and toddlers. The kids loved running around the open areas. The Treehouse Vero Beach is an easy all-time favorite.
Unique Reception Dining
Instead of a traditional sit-down meal, Mark and Jenna served freshly-made gourmet pizza from Good Days Pizza. Guests could watch their specialty pizzas being made fresh throughout the night. The Mexican Corn pizza was especially popular among Mark and Jenna’s guests, who kept going back for more. In addition to pizza, guests had the opportunity to enjoy meatballs, bruschetta, and more—freshly made—during the cocktail hour.
A (Friends and) Family Affair
One of the most beautiful aspects of this wedding day was seeing how the couple’s friends and families contributed to the overall event. For starters, an aunt made the wedding favors and a co-worker handed down vases and table numbers from her own wedding. During the Catholic wedding liturgy, family-friends and neighbors of the bride read the readings. The couple’s godson served as the ring-bearer. Even the vendors were friends and family—the reception DJ, the florist, and the photographer! It was a true show of community.
