Set against the backdrop of autumn leaves in Duluth, Georgia, Cassie and Kyle’s wedding day was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Every scene of their special day sparkled, from the warmth of the Nuptial Mass’s florals to the electricity of the wedding reception’s dance floor. The Nuptial Mass
We opened Cassie and Kyle’s Catholic wedding video with aerial views of the venues and close-ups of details at the Nuptial Mass, layered underneath the voice of Cassie praying with her father before the ceremony. This editing decision, while highlighting the beauty of the day, also serves as a reminder that God is the center of our lives as Christians. We think the priest presiding over Cassie and Kyle’s mass said it perfectly:
“…in committing to covenant love to each other, you have to have God as the center.”
The priest’s homily went on to speak about how marriage transforms you. He spoke about transformation in front of the large glass windows that framed the altar— where Cassie and Kyle made their vows as fall leaves changed their colors on the other side of the windows. The huge windows illuminated the sanctuary and shined down on the couple. This Catholic wedding showcased spectacularly the power and sanctity of marriage.
Thoughtful Catholic Wedding Details
While we loved the grand views found at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, we adored the Catholic stationary work by Pieta Paperie even more. This fellow Catholic vendor delivered the simple, yet elegant, designs which helped set a reverent tone for the Nuptial Mass.
Another Catholic wedding video detail we loved capturing took place after the ceremony. This portrait of Cassie and Kyle in front of the tabernacle is a perfect visualization of how God is at the center of the Sacrament of Marriage.
The In-Between Moments
One benefit in hiring a Catholic wedding videographer is the comfort of knowing that the wedding day will be captured reverently. Additionally, we know how to look for those special candid moments like when Cassie and her father prayed together or when Cassie brought flowers, beautifully arranged by The Cottage Florals, to Mother Mary.
Lively Wedding Reception
The vibrance of Cassie and Kyle’s wedding didn’t stop after the mass. In fact, things became a whole lot brighter and more colorful as their wedding reception unfolded. Their DJ, Ultrasonic Entertainment, was one of the best DJs we’ve ever worked with at a wedding. His sets made it so easy for the bride and groom to hit the dance floor with all their friends and family. We especially loved focusing on the laughs, silly dance moves, and overall jovial atmosphere of the reception (ain’t no party like a Catholic party, right?!). We stayed until Cassie and Kyle’s colorful glowstick exit, complete with a romantic dip and newlywed kiss.
