Casey & Michael’s Sacred Wedding at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception

April 9, 2025

Some weddings are breathtaking not just because of their beauty but because of their deep spiritual significance. Casey & Michael’s wedding was just that—a day where prayer, love, and intricate beauty intertwined to create something unforgettable.

Connected to us through our dear friends at The Delac Collective, Casey & Michael knew they wanted a wedding film that pointed everyone back to Heaven. We wanted to ensure their film reflected the depth of their faith.

The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Jacksonville, Florida, provided an awe-inspiring setting for Casey & Michael’s vows. With towering stained glass, historic charm, and intricate architectural details, the basilica’s natural beauty set the tone for a deeply reverent Nuptial Mass.

Because of the church’s older structure and limited space, we worked carefully to ensure our filming remained respectful and unobtrusive.

During their portraits at St. John’s Golf & Country Club, Michael pulled out a letter he had written for Casey. He wanted to share it with her quietly. We suggested they take a moment to sit together on the grass, away from the energy of the day.

For a few minutes, they talked, read, and took it all in. We kept our distance, capturing the moment without interrupting.

It was simple, unscripted, and one of the most meaningful parts of their film.

There were so many parallels throughout their wedding day, moments that mirrored each other in ways only God could orchestrate:

  • The homily during the ceremony, which beautifully tied into the couple’s own words and the meaning behind their day.
  • Their first touch, where they prayed together and even lifted up their vendors by name.
  • The groomsmen’s prayer before Mass, where these men showed vulnerability and faith in praying for one another.

We used a mix of storytelling techniques. Drone footage captured the breathtaking scale of both venues. A documentary-style approach let the ceremony unfold naturally, keeping the focus on reverence. In the edit, we carefully chose the first song to build toward the elevation of the Eucharist, ensuring the music carried the same emotional weight as the moment itself.

Casey & Michael’s wedding was a testimony of faith, love, and devotion. Here’s what they had to say after watching their film for the first time:

“WOW. The video is so beautiful, and it means so much to me that you poured out time, love, and prayer while making it.”
